dc.descriptionThe environmental education requires knowledge about the receiver of the teaching. Under this perspective, the following aspects of the communes of the Subhumid Unit of Chile were analyzed: urban and rural population categories and the social and economic indicators of habitability of the house, social vulnerability and instruction levels. The results of the analysis indicated a strong coincidence between the best parameters of the social and economical indicators with those communes of high percentage of urban population that belong to the big cities; in the opposite, the rural communes frequently show different situations in regard to the indicators analized, and in some cases, deficient categories in all of them. According to these results, different strategies should be applied to environmental education related to the social and economical level of the recipient.en-US
dc.descriptionLa educación ambiental requiere del conocimiento del receptor de la enseñanza. Bajo esta perspectiva se analiza, a nivel comunal, la categoría de urbano-rural de la población y los indicadores socioeconómicos de habitabilidad de la vivienda, vulnerabilidad social y nivel de instrucción dentro de la macrounidad Subhúmeda de Chile. Los resultados del análisis indican una fuerte coincidencia entre los mejores parámetros de los indicadores socioeconómicos con aquellas comunas de alto porcentaje de población urbana correspondiente a las grandes ciudades; por el contrario, las comunas rurales, por lo general, presentan situaciones heterogéneas respecto a los indicadores analizados y, en algunos casos, categorías deficientes en todos ellos. De acuerdo con estos resultados, las estrategias que se apliquen en educación ambiental deben ser diferenciadas de acuerdo a la diversidad de los niveles socioeconómicos del receptor.es-ES
