| dc.description | Resistencia. the most important town in the North East of Argentina. is 12· years old and its evolution has had a range of distinctive churacteristics. Since 1960 it has received continuous in-migration from surrounding ruralareas in crisis. This has been reflected in the ways the city has expanded. with dynamic urban growth due 10 the demographic pressure that has occurred particularly since 1970. There have been at least 1W0 ways in which the old town has been added to . the creation of spontaneous settlements with precarious housing and the construction ofplanned blocks af'flats. The old town, the spontaneous settlements and the planned blocks have centralized the population from the city 's hinterland in the last half of the IWntieth century. | en-US |
| dc.description | El Gran Resistencia. la ciudad más importante del nordeste de la República Argentina, tiene 120 años de antiguedad y una serie de características que distinguen su evolución . Receptora desde 1960 de una inmigración constante del área ruralen crisis refleja en las modalidades de su proceso de expansión una dinámica urbana compulsiva que trata de responder a una presión demográfica especialmente desde 1970. A la ciudad primigenia se agregan los asentamientos espontáneos en viviendas precarias y los conjuntos habitacionales planificados como las dos modalidades del crecimiento. Las Tres áreas constituyen el reflejo centralizado de las distintas situaciones del área de influencia de la ciudad en su acelerado crecimiento a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XX. | es-ES |
