ResumenEl estudio sobre los movimientos sociales y sus problemáticas más trascendentes parece haber tenido un desarrollo significativo en los últimos veinte años en Chile. Sin embargo, se trata de un proceso en permanente construcción,que requiere, por ende, de nuevas metodologí­as y nuevos marcos epistemológicos. En virtud de ello, ciertas temáticas parecen haber quedado relegadas a estudios o disciplinas muy especí­ficas. Uno de estos tópicos se refiere a la ausencia –o presencia parcial– de lineamientos teóricos que acompañarán a los movimientos sociales durante la Unidad Popular.Este artí­culo propone una reflexión en torno a esta problemática, considerando sus alcances y coyunturas más significativas.Palabras clave: Chile, Unidad Popular, movimientos sociales, teorí­a de la historia. Social movements during Unidad Popular: reflections ontheoretical absence and presenceAbstractThe study of social movements and their most significant issues has been an important subject for the last twenty years in Chile. However, it is aprocess in permanent construction which requires new methodologies and epistemological frameworks. In light of this, it seems that certain issues have been relegated to very specific studies and disciplines.
