This work is the result of a research of structural behavior of reinforced concrete columns subjected to a process of partial repair, with sustained load during the whole process. The repair has been executed with mixed material, constituted by a mortar with cement base, modified with polymer and synthetic fibers. A partial reduction of the load occurred during the repair. The analysis has been made from data of strains on steel bars, concrete and repair material, obtained by strain gages connected a data acquisition system. The columns have been tested until failure. The results indicate that the repair mortar begins taking loads once the external load overcomes the one when the repair was executed, but the ultimate load is near to that in the columns without repair.The contributions of this research are a better understanding of the stress variation and of the effectiveness of the structural repair with regard to the capacity of a column.Este trabajo es el resultado de una investigación sobre el comportamiento estructural de columnas de hormigón armado cuando sometidas a un proceso de reparación parcial, con carga mantenida durante todo el proceso. La reparación ha sido ejecutada con material mixto, constituido por un mortero con base de cemento, modificado con polímero y fibras sintéticas. Durante el proceso de ejecución de la reparación la carga fue reducida parcialmente. Se hizo el análisis a partir de las deformaciones de las barras de acero, del hormigón y del material de reparación, obtenidas mediante transductores de resistencia eléctrica pegados y un sistema de adquisición de datos. Las columnas han sido ensayadas hasta la rotura. Los resultados indican que el mortero de reparación solamente empieza actuar para cargas mayores que la existente cuando de la realización de la reparación, pero la carga de rotura es cercana a las columnas sin reparo. Los aportes de esta investigación pueden resultar en un mejor entendimiento de la variación de tensiones y de la efectividad dela reparación estructural frente a la capacidad portante de una columna sometida a una intervención realizada con ese tipo de mortero.
