dc.description	The high speed rail which connects Córdoba city to Málaga city (both placed in the south of Spain) is currently under construction. Across the alignmentimportant structures are being constructed, such as the eight-kilometer tunnels of the Valle of Abdalajis where a tunnelling machine is being utilized. Atthe beginning of the works, the machine used had reached an international record. The paper deals with the general aspects of construction procedures,and problems related to the execution stage of high speed railways, a fact that makes this project of international interest	en-US
dc.description	En la actualidad se encuentra en ejecución la Línea de Alta Velocidad Española (AVE), entre las poblaciones de Córdoba y Málaga. A lo largo de la trazaaparecen obras singulares como son los Túneles del Valle de Abdalajís, que con una longitud aproximada de 8 Km., se están realizando mediante tuneladoras.Las dimensiones del escudo de ataque y algunos aspectos organizativos hacen interesante su detallado estudio. De igual modo, la aparición de metano enel avance está condicionando la planificación y evolución de los tajos. En el artículo se recogen estas circunstancias así como aspectos generales relacionadoscon los aspectos constructivos de la alta velocidad ferroviaria que permiten encuadrar el proyecto estudiado en un contexto internacional.	es-ES
