dc.descriptionCare Management is based on universal values and knowledge that emerge from other sciences and from the discipline and science of Nursing itself, supported by strategic processes that seek quality, continuity, integrality of care and welfare of people. Objective. Through epistemological analysis of the concept of Nursing Care Management, it is intended to understand its origin, how it is articulated with the discipline and science of Nursing, difficulties in its application and pending challenges within the discipline and profession. The theoretical-practical conflict continues to be a constant concern for Nursing Science, a scenario that is intertwined with Care Management. There are great pending challenges so that this construct is recognized and valued not only by Nursing, but also by other disciplines to articulate itself with other sanitary professions and to objectively evidence the benefits in the action of taking care; crucial positioning that would allow it to be immersed in the public policy of health and to enter operationally to the public and private services; work that should emerge jointly from the union activity, academy, investigation and legislative action.en-US
dc.descriptionLa Gestión del Cuidado se fundamenta en valores universales y conocimientos que emergen de otras ciencias y de la propia disciplina y ciencia de Enfermería, amparado en procesos estratégicos que buscan la calidad, continuidad, integralidad de la atención y bienestar de las personas. Objetivo. Mediante análisis epistemológico del concepto de Gestión del Cuidado de Enfermería, se pretende comprender su origen, como se articula con la disciplina y ciencia Enfermería, dificultades en su aplicación y desafíos pendientes dentro de la disciplina y profesión. El conflicto teórico-práctico sigue siendo para la Ciencia Enfermería una preocupación constante, escenario que se entrelaza con la Gestión del Cuidado. Existen grandes desafíos pendientes para que este constructo se reconozca y valore no sólo por Enfermería, sino también por otras disciplinas para articularse con otras profesiones sanitarias y evidenciar objetivamente los beneficios en la acción de cuidar; posicionamiento crucial que le permitiría estar inmersa en la política pública de salud e ingresar operativamente a los servicios públicos y privados; trabajo que debería emerger conjuntamente desde la actividad gremial, academia, investigación y acción legislativa.es-ES
