| dc.description | A partir de la teoría de la autonomía y en diálogo con el abordaje constructivista de las Relaciones Internacionales, abordamos la estrategia de política exterior brasileña durante los años 2003-2011 desde la hipótesis de la autonomía como identidad constitutiva, la cual contiene raíces históricas que son revisadas desde una perspectiva multidisciplinar y a la luz de un contexto internacional de transición hacia el multipolarismo. Analizamos los factores sistémicos y domésticos que explican la orientación de la política exterior hacia el Sur global, buscando identificar las prácticas de “liderazgo emergente” emprendidas en dicho periodo. Asimismo, consideramos que la búsqueda de la autonomía se constituyó en la identidad internacional de Brasil, formulada mediante diferentes modelos de política exterior acordes con el contexto externo y las necesidades internas, siendo condiciones favorables al despliegue de las políticas de integración regional sudamericana y de expansión de los lazos entre países del Sur global; a partir de ellas, Brasil se convierte en un actor relevante en la región y en el mundo. | es-ES |
| dc.description | Starting from the theory of autonomy and in dialogue with the constructivist perspective of International Relations, we approach Brazilian foreign policy during 2003-2011, from the hypothesis of autonomy as a constitutive identity. It contains historical origins that are reviewed from a multidisciplinary perspective and concerning an international context of transitions towards multipolarism. We analyze systemic and domestic factors which explain the orientation of foreign policy towards the Global South, identifying “emerging leadership” practices launched in that period. We also consider that the search for autonomy became the international identity of Brazil, set through different models of foreign policy according with the external context and internal needs. These were favorable conditions for South American regional integration policies and the expansion of ties between countries of the global South. From these, Brazil became a relevant actor, in the region and the world. | en-US |
