Besides any eventuality, reflection on human rights is always beneficial and necessary because it validates the debate around the human issue and the aspiration to a more reasonable and kind-hearted coexistence, enhancing the construction of an imaginary vision that allows us to reconsider, from another perspective, the forms of life in society. In the line to contribute to this reflection, the present article centers its glance on human rights, from the perspective of the ethics of the speech as its basis for its argumentation. However, reference is made to the Kantian ethical tradition, as an inspirational source for the discursive current. In these lines, then, a route by the most relevant aspects of this ethical current is taken, to then direct the glance at the human rights, specifically towards three concepts: subject (of rights), historicity and justice.Más allá de cualquier contingencia, la reflexión sobre derechos humanos resulta siempre provechosa y necesaria, porque revalida el debate en torno a lo humano y la aspiración de una convivencia más justa y solidaria, posibilitando la construcción de un imaginario que permite repensar desde otras perspectivas las formas de vida en sociedad. En la senda de contribuir a dicha reflexión, el presente artí­culo centra su mirada en los derechos humanos, desde la perspectiva de la ética del discurso como base para su fundamentación. No obstante, se hace referencia a la tradición ética kantiana, en tanto inspiradora de la corriente discursiva. En estas lí­neas, entonces, se realiza un recorrido por los aspectos más relevantes de dicha corriente ética, para luego dirigir la mirada más directamente a los derechos humanos, especí­ficamente hacia tres conceptos: sujeto (de derechos), historicidad y justicia.
