Literature is a beautiful word, with rhythm and music, pronounced from the singular reality of existence. From this point of view it is always a "revelation", an apocalypse of human life in the face of the singular and definitive character of existence in the world. Theology, in dialogue with it, cannot pretend to be enclosed in an objective-scientific language in the style of the positive sciences. According to Balthasarian theology, the relationship between theology and literature does not arise from the fashion of the interdisciplinarity of knowledge, but from an intrinsic necessity of its work due to the nature of divine revelation. God has expressed himself in a beautiful figure as the person of his Son, engaging in a drama, and using all the resources of the language of the flesh.La literatura es una palabra bella, con ritmo y música, pronunciada desde la realidad singular de la existencia. Desde este punto de vista es siempre una “revelación”, un apocalipsis de la vida humana ante el carácter singular y definitivo de la existencia en el mundo. La teología, en diálogo con ella, no puede pretender encerrarse en un lenguaje científico-objetivo al estilo de las ciencias positivas. Según la teología balthasariana la relación entre teología y literatura no surge por la moda de la interdisciplinariedad de los saberes, sino por una necesidad intrínseca de su quehacer debido a la naturaleza de la revelación divina. Dios se ha expresado a sí mismo en una figura bella como es la persona de su Hijo, implicándose en un drama, y utilizando todos los recursos del lenguaje de la carne.
