dc.descriptionIn Latin America, since 1980, teenage pregnancy has been considered a social and public health problem. The institutional, adult-centered, specialized and modernizing discourse has categorized this phenomenon as an indicator of underdevelopment, as a failed act in the life project of adolescents, ignoring the senses that motherhood has in its own experience. This research compares the life project of three generations of women who have been teenage mothers between the 1980s, 2000s and 2010, contrasting public discourse and social experience, through 40 semi-structured interviews. The intersection between biography and history will be the way for an approach to the complex articulation between adolescent motherhood and reflexivity in contexts of poverty and marginality.en-US
dc.descriptionEn América Latina, a partir de 1980, el embarazo adolescente ha sido considerado un problema social y de salud pública. El discurso institucional, adultocéntrico, especializado y modernizador ha categorizado a este fenómeno como un indicador de subdesarrollo, como un acto fallido en el proyecto de vida de las adolescentes, desconociendo los sentidos que tiene la maternidad en su propia experiencia. En esta investigación se compara el proyecto de vida de tres generaciones de mujeres que han sido madres adolescentes entre la década de 1980, 2000 y 2010, contrastando discurso público y experiencia social, mediante 40 entrevistas semiestructuradas. El encuentro entre biografía e historia y el enfoque interseccional permitieron un acercamiento situado a la articulación entre maternidad adolescente y reflexividad en contextos de pobreza y marginalidad.es-ES
