dc.descriptionThis article contributes from the research field of Love Studies, a psychoanalytic reading of the current beliefs regarding the experience of romantic love in Chile, identifying meanings and tensions that adult heterosexual men and women describe regarding the cognitions, feelings and/or behaviors experienced in their love relationships. For the methodology, a qualitative design was used, conducting semi-structured interviews to 8 heterosexual men and 9 women between 18 and 65 years old, in which the Thematic Analysis of Braun and Clarke (2006) was used.The results allowed us to identify the similarities and differences in relation to different aspects of romantic love, such as the function it fulfills for the interviewees, the limits and possible changes in the love relationship and the decline of romantic love. Emergingly, the results exhibit and describe how neoliberal market logics have permeated contemporary love affairs.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo aporta, desde el campo investigativo de los Estudios del Amor, una lectura psicoanalítica sobre las creencias actuales respecto a la vivencia del amor romántico en Chile, identificando significaciones y tensiones que hombres y mujeres heterosexuales adultos/as describen respecto a las cogniciones, sentimientos y/o comportamientos experimentados en sus relaciones amorosas. Para la metodología, se utilizó un diseño cualitativo, realizándose entrevistas semi-estructuradas a 8 hombres y 9 mujeres heterosexuales entre 18 y 65 años, en las cuales se utilizó el Análisis Temático de Braun y Clarke (2006). Los resultados permitieron identificar las similitudes y diferencias en relación a distintos aspectos del amor romántico, como la función que este cumple para los entrevistado/as, los límites y cambios posibles en la relación amorosa y la caída del amor romántico. De manera emergente, los resultados exhiben y describen cómo las lógicas de mercado neoliberales han permeado los vínculos amorosos contemporáneos.es-ES
