dc.description	This article examines the major milestones in the development of the notion of Responsibility to Protect in cases of genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity. In particular, the author examines the process that led to the adoption of this notion at the 2005 World Summit at the United Nations, its scope and the challenges and issues that may arise from its implementation. Finally, the paper presents some conclusions regarding the importance of the Responsibility to Protect in International Law.	en-US
dc.description	El artículo examina los principales hitos en el desarrollo de la noción de Responsabilidad de Proteger en casos de genocidio, crímenes de guerra, depuración étnica y crímenes de lesa humanidad. En particular, el autor examina el proceso que condujo a la adopción de la noción en la Cumbre Mundial 2005 en Naciones Unidas, el alcance de ésta y los desafíos y cuestiones que pueden surgir en su implementación. Finalmente, el artículo presenta algunas conclusiones sobre la importancia de la Responsabilidad de Proteger en el Derecho Internacional.	es-ES
