| dc.description | Conceptual art since the seventies, has put into action that dimension of life itself, including and presenting “reality” through objects, bodies and actions; previously differentiated aspects from the artistic field. However, contemporary art (from the neo-avant-garde of the sixties onwards) in Latin America, does not obey only a transgression of materials and languages, as supposedly was done in Europe; it also seeks to problematize social and political conflicts from a critical and even activist perspective. For this, the body is referred to as an object and a subject, as a favorite place or space to visualize violence in its broadest and most radical sense. | en-US |
| dc.description | Desde los años setenta, el arte conceptual ha puesto en obra aquella dimensión de la vida misma, incluyendo y presentando la “realidad” por medio de objetos, cuerpos y acciones; aspectos antes diferenciados del ámbito artístico. Sin embargo, el arte contemporáneo (desde la neo-vanguardia de los sesenta en adelante) en Latinoamérica no obedece únicamente a una transgresión de materiales y lenguajes, sino que también busca problematizar los conflictos sociales y políticos desde una mirada crítica e incluso activista. Para ello, el cuerpo es referido en tanto objeto y sujeto, como un lugar o espacio predilecto para visibilizar la violencia en su sentido más amplio y radical. | es-ES |
