This essay reflects on the environmental problems that occurred in the neighboring towns of Quintero and Puchuncaví, located in the northern area of the Valparaíso region, due to the fact that the industrial park is contiguous. Before this, the following question appears: How do you resist while living in a sacrificial zone? It begins by describing this conflict from its beginning to answer this question. Subsequently, the concepts of power, life and resistance are discussed. Finally, the notion of bio-resistance is proposed to analyze the facts and to rethink the resistance of life itself.Este ensayo reflexiona sobre los problemas medioambientales ocurridos en las localidades vecinas de Quintero y Puchuncaví, ubicadas en la zona norte de la región de Valparaíso, debido al parque industrial que se encuentra contiguo. Ante esto, se plantea la siguiente interrogante ¿cómo se resiste mientras se vive en una zona de sacrificio? Para responder está interrogante se comienza por describir el conflicto desde sus inicios. Posteriormente, se discuten los conceptos de poder, vida y resistencia. Finalmente, se propone la noción de bio-resistencia para analizar los hechos y para repensar la resistencia que la vida misma realiza ante las formas de vida impuestas por el poder.
