dc.descriptionIn November 1817 took place in the Cathedral of Santiago a ceremony that had not been mentioned in the press of those years, nor in subsequent this historiographical records, has been forgotten; we refer to the funeral engaged by the Supreme Government of Chile to the martyrs of the Battle of Rancagua. The document that follow is preserved in the collection of documents sheltered in America Hall of the National Library in Santiago, part of a volume containing various items relating to the South American independence movements, and we presenting his bicentennial feat of arms, making it available to those interested.en-US
dc.descriptionEn noviembre de 1817 tuvo lugar en la Catedral de Santiago una ceremonia que por no haber sido mencionada en la prensa de esos años, como tampoco en los registros historiográficos posteriores, ha quedado en el olvido; nos referimos a las exequias dedicadas por el Supremo Gobierno de Chile a los mártires de la batalla de Rancagua. El documento que presentamos a continuación se conserva en la colección documental resguardada en la Sala América de la Biblioteca Nacional de Santiago, formando parte de un volumen que contiene diversas piezas relacionadas con los procesos independentistas sudamericanos, y la damos a conocer en el bicentenario de este hecho de armas, poniéndolo a disposición de los interesados.es-ES
