| dc.description | The following work aims to carry out a historiographic review of the war of Chile against the Peru-Bolivian Confederation, analyze what were the main approaches, their sources and demonstrate the lack of work dedicated to studying the presence of the Chilean army while in Peru (1837-1839). Especially, considering that, although Chile won the victory in early 1839, the troops remained for a long time in Lima. Along with this review, some methodological suggestions are made on how to study this period considering that, behind this occupation, interesting background information can be obtained regarding the complex process of shaping national states. | en-US |
| dc.description | El siguiente trabajo tiene por objetivo analizar, mediante una revisión historiográfica sobre la guerra de Chile contra la Confederación Perú-boliviana, los principales enfoques y fuentes a partir de los cuales se ha estudiado el conflicto. Los resultados de esta lectura evidencian la falta de trabajos dedicados a estudiar la presencia del Ejército chileno en Perú (1837-1839), en especial, considerando que, a pesar de que Chile obtuvo la victoria a inicios de 1839, las tropas permanecieron durante largo tiempo en Lima. Junto con esta revisión se realizan algunas sugerencias metodológicas sobre cómo estudiar este período, tomando en cuenta que detrás de esta ocupación se pueden obtener antecedentes interesantes respecto al complejo proceso de conformación de los estados nacionales. | es-ES |
