dc.description	This article examines the wine production of the Quilacán farm, La Serena (Chile) in the mid-17th century, from the original reports of its administrator. The equipment and facilities to produce wines and spirits, mainly lime and brick presses, and ceramic vessels are examined. The presence of environmental disorders such as late frosts and summer rains is detected, probably associated with the small glacial age and the El Niño current. The administration accounts allow to know the operation of the system and especially the weight of the ecclesiastical incomes in the colonial productive apparatus, which ended up breaking the Quilacán farm.	en-US
dc.description	Este artículo examina la producción vitivinícola de la chacra Quilacán, La Serena (Chile) a mediados del siglo XVII, a partir de los informes originales de su administrador. Se examina el equipamiento y las instalaciones para la elaboración de vinos y aguardientes, principalmente lagares de cal y ladrillo, y vasijas de cerámica. Se destaca el aporte de mano de obra afrodescendiente en el manejo de los oficios. Se detecta la presencia de desórdenes ambientales como heladas tardías y lluvias estivales, asociados probablemente a la pequeña edad glaciar y a la corriente de El Niño. Las cuentas de administración permiten conocer el funcionamiento del sistema y, sobre todo, el peso de las rentas eclesiásticas en el aparato productivo colonial, el cual terminó por quebrar la chacra de Quilacán.	es-ES
