dc.descriptionThis essay is a reading of Afro-descendant writers and their intellectual formation that assume a position that is contrary to Western thought of a Eurocentric influence. As examples of authors that use their writing as a resistance to the hegemonic aesthetics, we compare the literary works of Abdias do Nascimento (1914-2011), Sortilégio II: Mistério Negro de Zumbi Redivivo (1979), and of Manuel Zapata Olivella (1920-2004), Changó, el gran putas (1983). These writers, as members of the Afro-Latin intelligentsia, position themselves as rebels, conscious of the plurality of voices that inhabit the Afro-Latin World. Also, the Afro authors highlight elements of the Ioruba and Banto as a literary aesthetic. In this way, both Nascimento and Zapata propose a literary writing of African ancestry as another episteme which can also be visualized in the Latin American literary tradition.en-US
dc.descriptionEste ensaio é uma exposição sobre escritores afrodescendentes e suas formações intelectuais que assumem uma posição contrária ao pensamento ocidental de influência eurocêntrica. Como exemplos de autores que utilizam sua escrita como resistência à estética hegemônica vigente, comparamos Abdias do Nascimento (1914-2011) e Manuel Zapata Olivella (1920-2004) e suas respectivas obras Sortilégio II: Mistério Negro de Zumbi Redivivo (1979) e Changó, el gran putas (1983). Estes escritores, como integrantes da intelligentsia afro-latina, se posicionam como insurgentes e conscientes da pluralidade de vozes que estão presentes no mundo afrodescendente. Além disso, os autores afro ressaltam os elementos da tradição iorubá e banta como estética literária. Dessa maneira, tanto Nacsimento como Zapata propõem uma escrita da ancestralidade como outra episteme que também pode ser visibilizada na tradição literária latino-americana.es-ES
