dc.descriptionThis paper presents the main results of the allophonic variation of the consonantal group /t̪ ɾ/ in a variety of Chilean Spanish –that of speakers that have not completed secondary education- obtained from eight cities (Iquique, La Serena, Valparaíso, Santiago, Concepción, Temuco, Coyhaique and Punta Arenas), using two elicitation tasks -semi-spontaneous interview and reading-aloud- completed by male and female speakers. The results showed that the sequence of plosive followed by a tap, that is /t̪ ɾ/, was more frequent. In addition, the independent variables geographic origin, elicitation task and gender were shown to have a statistically significant effect on the phonetic realizations of /t̪ ɾ/.en-US
dc.descriptionEn este artículo se presentan los principales resultados de la variación alofónica del grupo consonántico /t̪ ɾ/ en el español no-estándar chileno de ocho ciudades del país (Iquique, La Serena, Valparaíso, Santiago, Concepción, Temuco, Coyhaique y Punta Arenas), ensituación de entrevista semiespontánea y de lectura en voz alta, para hablantes de sexo masculino y femenino. Los resultados muestran que la mayor cantidad de fonos que realiza el fonema /t̪ ɾ/ corresponde al sonido oclusivo seguido de vibrante simple [t̪ ɾ]. Además, las variables zona geográfica, modalidad discursiva y sexo influyen de manera estadísticamente significativa en las realizaciones del grupo consonántico en estudio.es-ES
