This article analyzes the participation of a female group of primary school teachers in theGeneral Association of Chilean Teachers (1922) and suggests that during the time studiedthere was a phenomenon of politization, linked to the functionalist current of educationalpractices and the demands of the social movement, but also the construction of a feministpolitical reflection that was influential in union politics. We analyze the ideas of threeteachers, representative of this group (articles, speeches, letters) that were in labor unionsfrom 1923 until 1934, when in addition to their feminist reflections they adopted a criticalstance regarding legislation concerning municipal women’s suffrage.  Este artículo aborda las características que tuvo la participación de un grupo de maestrasprimarias en la Asociación General de Profesores de Chile (1922), y propone que en elperíodo abordado experimentan un fenómeno de politización, vinculado a la corrientefuncionalista del Magisterio y a las demandas del movimiento social, pero también a laconstrucción de una reflexión política feminista que fue influyente en la política del gremio.Para ello, tomamos el pensamiento de tres maestras representativas de este grupo enel momento de su aparición en los espacios gremiales en 1923 (artículos, discursos, cartas)hasta 1934, cuando incorporan a su reflexión feminista un nuevo contenido, en el quese advierte una posición crítica frente a la legislación del sufragio femenino municipal.
