| dc.description | The intensity of migration to Lima since the mid-twentieth century brought with it new interactions between Lima residents and migrants, generated from musical practices and genres. The district of La Victoria, which had been a space where Creole genres had had an important development since the beginning of the 20th century due to the presence of popular sectors, was also the scene where Andean demonstrations gained visibility since the middle of the 20th century. The Andean genres that had been part of Lima’s sound space at the beginning of the century ended up being identified towards the middle of the century as distant folkloric or vernacular manifestations, different and opposed to the Creole culture that had been articulated by the State as part of the national culture. This article analyzes the trajectories of Creole and Andean music in La Victoria between the early twentieth century and the 1970s in relation to the generation of senses of identification developed in Victorian society.Keywords: Lima, La Victoria, popular music, migration. | en-US |
| dc.description | La intensidad de la migración a Lima desde mediados de siglo XX trajo consigo nuevas interacciones entre limeños y migrantes, generadas a partir de las prácticas y géneros musicales. El distrito de La Victoria, que había sido un espacio donde los géneros criollos habían tenido un importante desarrollo desde inicios de siglo XX dada la presencia de sectores populares, fue también desde mediados de siglo XX el escenario donde las manifestaciones andinas cobraron visibilidad. Los géneros andinos que habían formado parte del espacio sonoro limeño a inicios de siglo terminaron siendo identificados hacia mediados de siglo como manifestaciones folklóricas o vernaculares distantes, diferentes y contrapuestas a la cultura criolla que había sido articulada por el Estado como parte de la cultura nacional. Este artículo analiza las trayectorias de la música criolla y andina en La Victoria entre inicios de siglo XX y la década de 1970 en relación con la generación de sentidos de identificación desarrollados en la sociedad victoriana.Palabras clave: Lima, La Victoria, música popular, migración. | es-ES |
