Inclusive language, uses of the morpheme –e and subjective stances

| dc.description | Among the current proposals to avoid sexism and binarism in language, we focus on the morpheme -e (chiques). Within the framework of the Dialogic approach to argumentation and polyphony and, following the line of research presented in previous papers, enunciations with this morpheme are analyzed as dialogic responses to discourse frames related to the norm (academic and social) and, consequently, as the materialization of different enunciative positions in relation to them. As diverse instances of heterogeneity, the occurrences of the morpheme -e confirm the symbolic and social value of language and account for a position taken in the polemical arena about the use of inclusive language. The analysis focuses on written and oral interventions stemming from different discursive genres (journalistic, political, advertising, legal and academic) and produced in recent years in Argentina. | en-US |
| dc.description | De las propuestas actuales para evitar el sexismo y el binarismo en el lenguaje, nos centramos en el morfema –e (chiques). En el marco del Enfoque dialógico de la argumentación y la polifonía y retomando la línea de investigación expuesta en trabajos anteriores, analizamos las enunciaciones con dicho morfema como respuestas dialógicas a marcos de discurso relativos a la norma (académica y social) y, consecuentemente, como plasmación de distintos posicionamientos enunciativos frente a ellos. En tanto huellas diversas de heterogeneidad, las ocurrencias del morfema -e confirman el valor simbólico y social del lenguaje y dan cuenta de la toma de partido en el terreno polémico acerca del uso del lenguaje inclusivo. El análisis se centra en intervenciones orales y escritas pertenecientes a distintos géneros discursivos (periodísticos, políticos, publicitarios, jurídicos y académicos) y producidas en los últimos años en la Argentina. | es-ES |
