dc.description	This article analyses the mediating role played by the Pentecostal community in Argentina, which emerged as a cross-border space for migrants, providing a link between Chilean and Argentine society during the period 1930-1978. The methodological approach proposed here is both qualitative and biographical. For this purpose, two research tools were used: in-depth interviews and review of unpublished primary sources, which are characterised by containing oral and written biographical accounts. First, the article addresses the migration of Pentecostals to different parts of Argentina. Second, we focus on the formation of communities and the cross-border mobility of their members. Third, we examine the affinity of values towards work in both the Pentecostal culture and Argentine society. In our analysis, we found that the emergence of Chilean Pentecostal communities in Argentina is linked to the migration phenomenon, with a preference to the southern area of Argentine Patagonia and to spaces of protection of Chilean identity and communion for Chilean migrants. It must be noted that Chilean Pentecostals place special attention on spiritual work, therefore, the valuation of material work becomes for them relational, and is mainly linked to standards of satisfaction as well as personal and social fulfilment.	en-US
dc.description	Este artículo analiza el rol mediador que jugó la comunidad pentecostal en Argentina, que se alzó como un espacio transfronterizo de migrantes, sirviendo de enlace de chilenos con la sociedad argentina durante el período de 1930-1978. El abordaje metodológico aquí propuesto es cualitativo y biográfico. Para ello se acudió a dos herramientas: la entrevista en profundidad y fuentes primarias inéditas, que se caracterizan por contener relatos biográficos orales y escritos. Primeramente, el texto aborda la migración de pentecostales a distintos puntos de Argentina. Luego, se centra en la formación de comunidades y en la movilidad transfronteriza de sus integrantes. Tercero, examina la afinidad valórica del trabajo entre la cultura pentecostal y la sociedad argentina. En nuestro análisis comprobamos que el nacimiento de las comunidades pentecostales chilenas en Argentina está ligado al fenómeno migracional, preferentemente hacia la zona sur de la Patagonia argentina y a espacios de resguardo de la chilenidad y comunión para los migrantes chilenos. Se aprecia que los pentecostales chilenos otorgan especial atención al trabajo espiritual, por consiguiente, la valoración del trabajo material se vuelve para ellos relacional, más bien ligada a estándares de satisfacción y realización personales y sociales.	es-ES
