dc.descriptionThe show “Qhapac Ñan: Il grande camino delle Ande” proposes a curatorial statement that articulates the relationship between ancestral cultural heritage and contemporary art from six South American Andean countries. All this in an operation in which the artists usually do not converge with the comparative visibility of their works inserted in the diagram of a sample that includes archaeological, ethnographic and historical material. Convened by an intergovernmental organization and housed by an Italian museum institution, in the most unlikely of scenarios to raise a crossroads of such conceptual resilience, we propose to analyze the asymmetries of this proposal beyond the exotic and its decolonial impostures, where it appears the use of words of Quechua origin that multiply the allegorical meaning and the conceptual density of the forms proposed by six artists who appear with works that, from their different languages, activates the past and project the future, in a demonstration of how artistic practices activate the heritage and at the same time are recognized in it.en-US
dc.descriptionLa exposición “Qhapac Ñan: Il grande camino delle Ande” propone un partido curatorial que articula la relación entre el patrimonio cultural ancestral y el arte contemporáneo de seis países andinos sudamericanos. Todo esto en una operación en que los artistas habitualmente no convergen con la visibilidad comparada de sus trabajos insertos en el diagrama de una muestra que incluye material arqueológico, etnográfico e histórico. Convocados por una organización intergubernamental y albergados por una institución museal italiana, en el más improbable de los escenarios para levantar un cruce de semejante resiliencia conceptual, es que proponemos analizar las asimetrías de esta propuesta más allá de lo exótico y sus imposturas decoloniales, donde aparece el uso de vocablos de origen quechua que multiplican el sentido alegórico y la densidad conceptual de las formas propuestas por seis artistas, que comparecen con obras que desde sus diversos lenguajes interpelan el pasado y proyectan el futuro, en una demostración de cómo las prácticas artísticas activan el patrimonio y a la vez se reconocen en él.es-ES
