Se presenta los primeros fechados 14C AMS para el sitio Cueva de los Catalanes (región de la Araucanía, Chile). Uno de ellos extiende la presencia de Phaseolus vulgaris L. al primer milenio d.C., constituyendo la evidencia más temprana de cultígenos en esta zona de Chile. Esto pudiera apuntar a un escenario de mayor variabilidad en cuanto a la implementación de prácticas agrícolas durante el período Alfarero Temprano. A su vez, hace notar la necesidad de implementar fechas-taxón de modo de poder evaluar adecuadamente la presencia de estas y otras especies, en relación a los cambios sociales que implican.|Sur de Chile, Cultígenos, Periodo Alfarero Temprano, Periodo Alfarero Tardío, Fecha-taxón|The first 14C AMS dates for Cueva de los Catalanes (Araucanía region, Chile) site are reported. One of these traces back the presence of Phaseolus vulgaris L. to the first millennium A.D., being the earliest evidence of cultigens for this area of Chile. This might point out to a higher variability scenario in relation to the implementation of agricultural practices during the Early Ceramic period.
