Desde una perspectiva comparativa regional y considerando el marco teórico de la Antropología dela Tecnología, se presentan los resultados del análisis de cuentas de collar provenientes de contextosfunerarios y domésticos de diferentes sitios del Complejo Cultural Llolleo (Periodo AlfareroTemprano, Chile Central). El objetivo del trabajo consistió en evaluar la variabilidad en torno ala manufactura de cuentas y el uso de collares en este complejo cultural. Los resultados permitenproponer una secuencia de cadena operativa y un estilo tecnológico compartido respecto a lamanufactura de cuentas. No obstante, es posible observar variaciones sutiles en los atributos de lascuentas de collar las que pueden ser interpretadas como reflejo de microidentidades de las diferentescuencas ocupadas por el Complejo Cultural Llolleo. Palabras clave: período alfarero temprano, cuentas de collar, Chile central.This article presents the results of the analysis of necklace beads from habitation and funerary sites of the LlolleoCultural Complex (Early Ceramic Period, Central Chile), considering a regional comparative perspectiveand the theoretical framework of the Anthropology of Technology. The objective of this work is to evaluate thevariability in the manufacture process of the beads and the uses of necklaces among the Llolleo groups. The resultsrevealed the existence of a shared operational sequence and technologic style, however, some subtle variations areseen in the features of the necklace beads that can be interpreted as a reflection of micro-identities of the groupsthat inhabited in the different river basins where the Llolleo Cultural Complex took place.
