| dc.description | Since the beginning of 1990, Chile has deepened economic reforms in the field of free trade, in three main ways: multilateral, regional and bilateral. The article begins with an analysis of the internal environment regarding the institutional and legislative environmental policies applied in Chile and their projections, to address the regional perspective, represented by Mercosur and FTAA; and then review the bilateral agreements signed by Chile with more relevant environmental components, that is, the Chile-European Union Association Agreement and two Free Trade Agreements: Chile-Canada and Chile-United States. The conclusions highlight that a greater awareness of environmental protection will lead to a more serious position by Chile at the external and internal level. | en-US |
| dc.description | Desde el inicio de 1990, Chile ha profundizado las reformas económicas en el campo del libre comercio por tres vías principales: multilateral, regional y bilateral. El artículo comienza con un análisis del ámbito interno en cuanto a las políticas institucionales y legislativas ambientales aplicadas en Chile y sus proyecciones, para abordar la perspectiva regional, representada por Mercosur y ALCA; y luego revisar los acuerdos bilaterales suscriptos por Chile con componentes ambientales más relevantes, esto es el Acuerdo de Asociación Chile-Unión Europea y dos Tratados de Libre Comercio: Chile-Canadá y Chile-Estados Unidos. Las conclusiones destacan que una mayor conciencia sobre la protección ambiental conllevará una más seria postura de Chile a nivel externo e interno. | es-ES |
