| dc.description | Chilean foreign policy since the early 1990s can be summarized as a successful administration with brilliant results. Chile has reached agreements of various kinds with many states of the world. However, there is a tendency to analyze these treaties exclusively from a commercial point of view and it is not considered that the agreements not only bring economic benefits, but also benefit young people and the rest of the population in the form of new opportunities in the social and cultural spheres. This article analyzes the evolution of Chile's foreign policy in the 1990s, focusing on relations with the European Union, and shows the opportunities that have opened up for the Chileans youth and that Chilean foreign policy not only revolves around to commercial and economic issues, but gives priority to political, cultural and social issues. | en-US |
| dc.description | La política exterior chilena desde comienzos de los años noventa puede resumirse como una gestión exitosa con resultados brillantes. Chile ha logrado acuerdos de diversa índole con diversos Estados del mundo. Sin embargo, se tiende a analizar estos tratados exclusivamente desde el punto de vista comercial y no se considera que los acuerdos no solo traen beneficios económicos, sino que también benefician a los jóvenes y al resto de la población en la forma de nuevas oportunidades en los ámbitos social y cultural. El presente artículo analiza la evolución de la política exterior de Chile en los noventa, centrando la atención en las relaciones con la Unión Europea, y muestra las oportunidades que se han abierto para los jóvenes chilenos y que la política exterior chilena no solo gira en torno a temas comerciales y económicos, sino que atribuye prioridad a temas políticos, culturales y sociales. | es-ES |
