| dc.description | The recessionary situation that has affected Uruguay for four years has hit hard the country's social fabric. Social and economic vulnerabilities have grown, and the instability of its closest partners, along with many other phenomena that we all remember, has negatively impacted its society. Economic growth is not enough to generate an improvement in the social scenario. There are multiple and very close examples of countries whose economies grew without improving their levels of social equality. However, shortly after the analysis of this recession situation is deepened, it helps us to visualize some more structural problems in Uruguayan society. | en-US |
| dc.description | La coyuntura recesiva que afecta al Uruguay desde hace cuatro años ha golpeado duramente el tejido social del país. Han crecido las vulnerabilidades sociales y económicas, y la inestabilidad de sus socios más cercanos, junto a muchos otros fenómenos que todos recordamos, ha impactado negativamente su sociedad. No basta el crecimiento económico para generar una mejora del escenario social. Hay múltiples ejemplos y muy cercanos de países cuyas economías crecieron sin que mejoraran sus niveles de igualdad social. Sin embargo, a poco de que se profundiza en el análisis de esta coyuntura de recesión, este nos ayuda a visualizar algunos problemas más estructurales en la sociedad uruguaya. | es-ES |
