dc.descriptionTrespassing and self-subversions: Albert Hirschman turned these exercises into an art, a plea that combines curiosity and intellectual humility. In a world accustomed to thinking and thinking itslef through totalizing models, Hirschman's work and intellectual attitude are a healthy and beneficial invitation. This is not the only merit of his feat. Many of the concepts developed by Hirschman, his triptych Exit, Voice, and Loyalty, the notion of the tunnel effect and, above all, his possibilist propensity, his attempts to transcend and self-subvert theories (including his own), paradigms and models, all the cubisms and mental minimalisms that continue to be born and reborn, constitute healthy sources of inspiration and interpretation to rethink the never-ending search for development. Finally, notions such as community participation or social capital are also appreciated, subverted and self-subverted in the light of Hirschman's work.en-US

En un mundo acostumbrado a pensar y pensarse mediante modelos totalizadores, la obra y la actitud intelectual de Hirschman constituyen una saludable y benéfica invitación. Este no es el único mérito de su hazaña. Muchos de los conceptos desarrollados por Hirschman, su tríptico exit, voice and loyalty, la noción de efecto túnel y, sobre todo, su propensión posibilista, sus intentos por traspasar y autosubvertir las teorías (las suyas incluidas), los paradigmas y los modelos, todos los cubismos y minimalismos mentales que no dejan de nacer y renacer, constituyen saludables fuentes de inspiración e interpretación para repensar la nunca acabada búsqueda del desarrollo. Por último, nociones como las de participación comunitaria o las de capital social también se dejan apreciar, subvertir y autosubvertir a la luz de la obra de Hirschman.es-ES
