| dc.description | This paper discusses some of the economic reforms that took place in New Zealand since 1984, tracing some similarities and differences with the Chilean case. In the first part, some economic and social statistics are presented that compare both countries, such as the per capita gross domestic product, the structure of the economy, its export baskets, the behavior of the main macroeconomic variables (product, inflation and employment) and some international competitiveness indices. In the second section, the main economic reforms implemented in New Zealand are analyzed, making comparisons with Chile. In particular, macro and microeconomic reforms and those of the public sector are reviewed, which in turn include reforms of state-owned companies and modernization of the State. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este trabajo se discuten algunas de las reformas económicas que tuvieron lugar en Nueva Zelandia a partir de 1984, trazando algunas similitudes y diferencias con el caso chileno. En la primera parte, se presentan algunas estadísticas económicas y sociales que comparan ambos países, tales como el producto per cápita, la estructura de la economía, sus canastas exportadoras, el comportamiento de las principales variables macroeconómicas (producto, inflación y empleo) y algunos índices de competitividad internacional. En la segunda sección, se analizan las principales reformas económicas implementadas en nueva Zelandia, estableciendo comparaciones con Chile. En particular, se revisan las reformas macro y microeconómicas y las del sector público, las cuales a su vez comprenden reformas de las empresas estatales y la modernización del Estado. | es-ES |
