Taking as a hypothesis the theory of long cycles of Kondratiev, in the present work it is argued that the model of the Third Industrial Revolution will result only from common efforts. The inevitability of commercial megablocks is thus rejected. Hence the importance of the Asia-Pacific region, since this multilateralist world economy model is being discussed there as the beneficial alternative to dividing the world into dire megablocks. However, Latin American countries are not included in this future development pole. It becomes evident, then, the need to take advantage of the joint interests between Chile and Brazil to try to reverse this situation and organize themselves into regional political-economic formations. In the implementation of a non-competitive multilateralist world economy model, both nations have an excellent opportunity to insert themselves internationally.Tomando como hipótesis la teoría de los ciclos largos de Kondratiev, en el presente trabajo se sostiene que el modelo de la Tercera Revolución Industrial resultará solo de los esfuerzos comunes. Se rechaza de esta manera la inevitabilidad de los megabloques comerciales. De ahí la importancia de la región Asia-Pacífico, ya que allí se está discutiendo ese modelo de economía mundial multilateralista como la alternativa benéfica a la división del mundo en funestos megabloques. Sin embargo, los países latinoamericanos no están contemplados en este futuro polo de desarrollo. Se hace evidente, entonces, la necesidad de aprovechar los intereses conjuntos entre Chile y Brasil para tratar de revertir esta situación y organizarse en formaciones político-económicas regionales. En la implementación de un modelo de economía mundial multilateralista no competitiva, ambas naciones tienen una excelente oportunidad para insertarse internacionalmente.
