| dc.description | There are some decisive questions about the Transnational Corporation that cannot be understood, much less answered, without having a more realistic picture of the structure, functioning and transformations of contemporary capitalism. We argue that the most characteristic and important change that has occurred in recent decades is the internationalization of manufacturing production. This reorientation of the activities of transnational corporations represents the reorganization of the international economy and the emergence of a new international division of labor. The signs suggest that we may be moving towards the shaping of 21st century international specialization, with the industrial countries shifting into the service economy, and some of the Third World countries transforming (at least in part) into industrial economies. | en-US |
| dc.description | Hay algunos interrogantes decisivos sobre la Empresa Transnacional que no se pueden comenzar a entender, y mucho menos a responder, sin que se tenga un cuadro más realista de la estructura, funcionamiento y transformaciones del capitalismo contemporáneo. Sostenemos que el cambio más característico e importante que ha ocurrido en las últimas décadas es la internacionalización de la producción manufacturera. Esta reorientación de las actividades de las empresas transnacionales representa la reorganización de la economía internacional y el surgimiento de una nueva división internacional del trabajo. Los indicios sugieren que podríamos estar pasando hacia la conformación de la especialización internacional del siglo XXI, con los países industriales desplazándose hacia la economía de servicios, y algunos de los países del Tercer Mundo transformándose (al menos en parte) en economías industriales. | es-ES |
