| dc.description | On May 31, 1968, the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) of the Argentine Republic and the Siemens Aktiengesellschaft company of the German Federal Republic signed a contract for the construction and installation of a power plant fed by a nuclear reactor. The signing of this contract is the most important event that occurred in the development of atomic energy in Argentina and constitutes a fundamental stage in the process of inserting nuclear science and technology into the very fabric of this society. It is very timely, then, to carry out a critical analysis of that process and a balance of its successes and failures, thus trying to explain Argentine atomic policy. | en-US |
| dc.description | El 31 de mayo de 1968, la Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica (CNEA) de la República Argentina y la compañía Siemens Aktiengesellschaft de la República Federal Alemana suscribieron un contrato para la construcción e instalación de una central eléctrica alimentada por un reactor nuclear. La firma de este contrato es el hecho de mayor importancia ocurrido en el desarrollo de la energía atómica en la Argentina y constituye una etapa fundamental del proceso de inserción de la ciencia y la tecnología nucleares en la trama misma de esta sociedad. Es muy oportuno, entonces, realizar un análisis crítico de ese proceso y un balance de sus éxitos y fracasos, tratando así de explicar la política atómica argentina. | es-ES |
