dc.descriptionAfter twenty seven years of John Williamson's creation, most of Latin American economies look today somewhat shaped by Washington Consensus. This article describes the context that framed the implementation of such a stabilization and reform program in various countries in the region. Conclusions are derived as to what has worked, what has not and what the challenges for the future are.en-US
