The present research aims to define and evaluate the model that has been assumed by the water law and management system in Chile, specifically, in a context of continuous alternation in the Presidency of the Republic, since 2006. In order to do this, an analysis of three aspects is proposed: i) the identification of five essential and descriptive elements of the water law and management system; ii) the experts positions existing about it; and, iii) the public policy projects presented and implemented in the subject during the period 2006-2018.El presente trabajo busca definir y evaluar el modelo que asume el sistema de derecho y gestión de aguas en Chile, específicamente, en un contexto de continua alternancia en la Presidencia de la República, a partir de 2006. Para esto, se presenta el análisis de tres aristas: i) la identificación de cinco elementos descriptivos y esenciales del sistema; ii) las posiciones de los expertos sobre el mismo; y, iii) los proyectos de políticas presentadas e implementadas en el área durante el período 2006-2018.
