dc.descriptionThis research studies the relationship between security and migration in Chile from the perspective of Critical Security Studies. The theoretical and methodological approach used is based on the concept of "securitization", coined by the Copenhagen School (Buzan, Waever and De Wilde, 1998) and later developed by the Aberystwyth School (Booth, 2013) and Paris (Bigo, 2002; Huysmans, 2006; Balzacq, 2010). In accordance with the above, and through an interpretative analysis, interviews were conducted and documentation linked to the phenomenon of migration was reviewed, to determine the role of both the discourses of political authorities and the practices of the administration agents, in the production of migration as a national security problem in Chile.en-US
dc.descriptionLa presente investigación estudia la relación entre seguridad y migración en Chile, desde la perspectiva de los Estudios Críticos de la Seguridad. El enfoque teórico y metodológico empleado se construye a partir del concepto “securitización”, acuñado por la Escuela de Copenhague (Buzan, Waever y De Wilde, 1998) y desarrollado posteriormente por la Escuela de Aberystwyth (Booth, 2013) y de París (Bigo, 2002; Huysmans, 2006; Balzacq, 2010). De acuerdo con lo anterior, y a través de un análisis interpretativo, se realizaron entrevistas y revisó documentación vinculada al fenómeno de las migraciones, para determinar el rol que tienen tanto los discursos de autoridades políticas como las prácticas de los agentes de la administración, en la producción de la migración como un problema de seguridad nacional en Chile.es-ES
