At the beginning of the 20th century, Chile already has a fully elected bicameral Congress, after trying various formulas during the first years of independent life. The 1833 Constitution established a Congress made up of a Chamber of Deputies and a Senate, as is the case today, not only in Chile but in many of the states with democratic government regimes.Al iniciarse el siglo XX Chile ya cuenta con un Congreso bicameral completamente elegido, después de ensayar diversas fórmulas durante los primeros años de vida independiente.
