The article highlights the reasoning used by the Supreme Court in the case «President of the Republic vs. Melipilla’s Civil Court» of 1967. In particular, the paper ar- gues that this case sets the origin for current judicial review standards.El texto destaca el razonamiento empleado por la Corte Suprema en el caso presidente de la República con juez de Melipilla de 1967. En particular, este trabajo argumen- ta que este asunto fija el germen de actuales estándares de revisión judicial.
