| dc.description | From 2004 to 2019, within a program specialized in repairing the damage of children and adolescents victims of commercial sexual exploitation (depending on the National Service for Minors and managed by the NGO Raíces), a theatre workshop was developed whose purpose was to contribute to the process of restoring the rights of adolescents. Initiated intuitively, with a methodology that was discovering the paths of dialogue with the participants, a series of decisions were made that make up what we now call Reparatory Theatre, as a specific methodological proposal for working with vulnerable populations. Despite the therapeutic echoes evoked by the name and the theme, the Reparatory Theatre methodology is based on a pedagogical premise, highlighting the effects of learning a group art – a highly symbolic one, essentially experiential, where the body is directly involved in all its integrity – on a population that, due to their personal histories and the marginality of their contexts, has had few opportunities to experience total aesthetic experiences, the kind that capture the senses, the thoughts, the emotions and produce that astonishment so necessary to want to be alive. | en-US |
| dc.description | Desde el año 2004 hasta el 2019 se desarrolló, en un programa especializado en la reparación del daño de niños, niñas y adolescentes víctimas de explotación sexual comercial (dependiente del Servicio Nacional de Menores y gestionado por la ONG Raíces), un taller de teatro cuyo fin era contribuir al proceso de restitución de derechos de las y los adolescentes. Iniciado de manera intuitiva, con una metodología que iba descubriendo los caminos de diálogo con las y los participantes, se fueron tomando una serie de decisiones que configuran lo que hoy denominamos Teatro Reparatorio, como una propuesta metodológica específica para el trabajo con población vulnerada. Pese a los ecos terapéuticos que evoca el nombre y el tema, la metodología de Teatro Reparatorio parte de una premisa pedagógica, destacando los efectos de aprender un arte grupal - altamente simbólico, esencialmente experiencial, donde el cuerpo está directamente involucrado en toda su integralidad- sobre una población que, por sus historias personales y la marginalidad de sus contextos, ha tenido escasas oportunidades de vivenciar experiencias estéticas totales, de esas que captan los sentidos, los pensamientos, las emociones y producen ese asombro tan necesario para querer estar vivo. | es-ES |
