The present article analyzes the history of four families from the point of view of its behavors and attitudes, that it confronts their sensibilities and realities, and it tries to observe, through divorce cases, the interior of the lives of these marriages, to understand the causes or circumstances that make them derive in projects of unfinished unions. The worked documentation, they are four divorce trials, rescued from the Ecclesiastical File of Concepción's Archbishopric that trials have as selection approach to have arrived to definitive resolution on the part of the ecclesiastical tribunal. Specifically in this article we will center our analyses in the masculine speech and their reaction in front of the divorce demand presented by their wivesEl presente artículo analiza la historia de cuatro familias desde el punto de vista de sus comportamientos y actitudes, que confronta sus sensibilidades y realidades y trata de observar, a través de pleitos de divorcio, el interior de las vidas de estos matrimonios, para comprender las causas o circunstancias que los hacen derivar en proyectos de uniones inacabadas. La documentación trabajada, son cuatro juicios de divorcio, rescatados desde el Archivo Eclesiástico del Arzobispado de Concepción, que tienen como criterio de selección haber llegado a resolución definitiva por parte del tribunal eclesiástico. Específicamente, en este artículo centraremos nuestro análisis en el discurso producido por los hombres y su reacción frente a las demandas de divorcio presentadas por sus esposas.
