| dc.description | The Norte Chico experienced a singular historical development due to the special geographic and economic conditions that took place du ring the first half of the XIX century. This work does not intend to study the structural formation nor the institutional behaviour of mining activity but to reflect sequentially about same background information that can contribute to a thorough understanding of miner's demands. El presente trabajo no pretende estudiar la formación estructural ni el comportamiento institucional de la actividad minera, sino reflexionar de manera secuencial sobre algunos antecedentes que aporten a una comprensión de las demandas que efectuaron los mineros, como un grupo de interés, con el propósito de proteger sus actividades productivas en la medida de que se fueron percibiendo como verdaderos actores sociales. | es-ES |
