Abstract
Environmental Impact Assestemt (EIA) is discussed showing how it normally leaves out important part of the reality it is meant to asses, i.e. social aspects. Ways of organizing and integrating the data coming from the natural and social sciences are suggested. Some thoughts on the meaning and role of public participation in EIA and environmental management are also made.
