| dc.description | Carrera took part in the Argentinean political life and helped severa1 federal caudillos ('warlords'). His intention was to go back to Chile, and he always intended to fulfil his goal. For that reason, he travelled to different provinces. His military campaign in Cordoba (in 1820 and 1821) had political and legal consequences with respect to the population, on one side, and the executive, legislative and municipal powers on the other, who had to pass several regulations according to the Provisional Rule. The proprietary governor had to deal personally with the military operations against the Chilean caudillo and the Legislative body had to appoint a surrogate governor. | en-US |
| dc.description | Carrera intervino en la política argentina y. colaboró con diversos caudillos federales. Sus actividades estuvieron siempre encaminadas a regresar a Chile y con ese motivo realizó incursiones por diversas provincias. Su campaña en Córdoba (1820 y 1821) tuvo sus implicancias políticas y jurídicas tanto con respecto a la población como con relación a los poderes ejecutivo, legislativo y municipal, quienes debieron dictar diversas disposiciones legales conforme al Reglamento Provisorio. El gobernador propietario tuvo que encargarse personalmente de las operaciones militares contra el caudillo chileno y la Legislatura debió designar gobernador sustituto. | es-ES |
