The foundation of Universities in the New World was a manifestation of the missional sense of the discovery and conquest enterprise of the Spanish crown. The author makes a reference in this essay of the role that in this process the foundation of the University of Cordoba displayed, along with a historical synthesis of the organization of the classes that conformated the teaching of Law in such institution, from the XVII century until the Revolution in 1810.    La fundación de Universidades en el Nuevo Mundo fue una manifestación del sentido misional de la empresa de descubrimiento y conquista por parte de la corona española. La autora pone de manifiesto en este ensayo el papel que en este proceso desempeñó la fundación de la Universidad de Córdoba, junto con realizar una síntesis histórica de la organización de las cátedras que conformaron la enseñanza del Derecho en dicha institución, desde su establecimiento en el siglo XVII hasta la Revolución acaecida en 1810.
