El presente ensayo tiene por objetivo analizar la novela La única de Guadalupe Marín desde una perspectiva feminista. Es así como sostengo que La única, si bien tiene elementos que nos permiten leerla como novela autobiográfica, es finalmente, debido a su temática y estructura, una novela de formación (bildungsroman) femenina, género que tuvo un importante desarrollo en el siglo XX. La única se transforma así, en el recorrido narrativo del viaje interior de Marcela, su protagonista, quien mediante dos hechos epifánicos en su vida inicia un camino de liberación de su ser a través de la escritura, la que usa como puente del ámbito privado a uno público.The present essay aims to analyze the novel La única by Guadalupe Marín from a feminist perspective. I maintain that La única, although it has elements that allow us to read it as an autobiographical novel, is finally a novel of female formation (bildungsroman), due to its theme and structure, which had an important development in Latin America during the 20th century. This is how La única becomes the narrative journey of the quest for selfhood of Marcela, its protagonist, who through two epiphanic events in her life, begins a path of liberation of herself through writing, which she uses as a bridge to the private sphere to a public one.
