The Course of Law of the Sacred Hearts of Valparaiso, which began operation son April 2, 1894, was one of the fi rst founded in Chile outside Santiago and remain suntil today, having joined in 1947, with out interruption, in the Catholic University of Valparaiso, being now its School of Law. Biographical traits of teachers whowe remembers of the founding generation of the Course when it began its activities are presented.El Curso de Leyes de los Sagrados Corazones de Valparaíso, que inició sus actividades el 2 de abril de 1894, fue uno de los primeros fundados en Chile fuera de Santiago y subsiste hasta la actualidad al haberse incorporado en 1947, sin solución de continuidad, en la Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, siendo actualmente la Escuela de Derecho de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
