The multifaceted figure of Helen in Homer's Iliad not only opens the representations of this ambiguous character in Western literary tradition, but also guarantees to the bard's poem the engendering of the differing and diverging retractions of the Spartan. Victim of the fights, cause of discord, confined to the female space, center of male attentions, deceived by the other characters, matter of her own penalization, Helen is made up of different paradoxes which are reiterated in each scene or in each mention of her name in the Homeric textual embroidering. Precisely through this antithetical game we try to defend the existence of several Helens in the Iliad, who concomitantly create, disallow and recreate her figure.La multifacética figura de Helena en la Ilíada de Homero no solamente inaugura las representaciones del caráter ambíguo de la personaje de la tradición literária ocidental, sino también garantiza al poema del gran aedo el engendrar diferentes y contrastantes retractaciones de la espartana. Ora víctima de las peleas, ora causante de la discordia, ora confinada al espacio femenino, ora centro de las atenciones masculinas, ora inocentada por los otros personajes, ora materia de su propia amonestación, Helena es compuesta por diferentes paradojas que se reiteran en cada escena o en cada mención de su nombre en el coser textual homérico. Es justamente por el análisis de esto juego antitético que procuramos defender, en este artículo, la existencia de varias Helenas en la Ilíada que, concomitantemente, crean, desautorizan y recrean a su figura.
