dc.description	The Πόνημα ἰατρικόν by Michael Psellos is a didactic poem on medicine. The work, as it has been preserved until today, lacks a programmatic prologue, nevertheless, in a brief passage, introduced between verses 531-537, the author states that his intention is not to gather everything about this discipline, but to stir up the appetite for it in his learned friends using the charm of the verses. Taking into account the intentions expressed by the author himself, our aim is to analyze, by comparing and contrasting the poem with its sources (Paul of Aegina, Theophilus Protospatharius and Palladius of Alexandria), what kind of medical contents he selects from these sources and how he adapts and uses them, in order to verify how Psellos’ purpose is fulfilled.	en-US
dc.description	El Πόνημα ἰατρικόν de Miguel Pselo es un poema didáctico de contenido médico. Si bien la obra, tal como se nos ha conservado, carece de un prólogo programático, no obstante, en un breve excurso, introducido entre los versos 531537, el autor manifiesta que su intención no es tratar todo lo relacionado con la medicina, sino despertar el apetito por dicha disciplina entre sus amigos doctos empleando, para ello, los encantos del verso. Teniendo en cuenta las intenciones manifestadas por el propio autor, nuestro objetivo en este trabajo es analizar mediante la comparación y contraste del poema con sus fuentes (Pablo de Egina, Teófilo Protospatario y Paladio de Alejandría), qué tipo de contenidos médicos selecciona a partir de estas, y cómo los adapta y emplea, para poder comprobar de qué forma el propósito de Pselo se cumple a la hora de confeccionar la obra.	es-ES
