In this article the author discusses the positions of Government Secretary and Real Audiencia of Concepción Chamber Secretary. The Real Audiencia of Concepción was the first Audiencia established in Chile, which operated from 1567 up to 1575. The article also refers to the personal secretaries that Governors appointed during the XVI century, and the manner of work they performed. The author includes a list of all Secretaries appointed between 1539 and 1600 A. D., along with biographical notes on each one of them and some genealogical information.El autor se refiere en general a los empleos de Secretario de Gobernación y Secretario de Cámara de la Real Audiencia de Concepción, la primera establecida en Chile, que funcionó desde 1567 hasta 1575, y a los secretarios personales que nombraron los gobernadores de Chile durante el siglo XVI, explicando en líneas generales su trabajo. El autor incluye una nómina de secretarios que actuaron desde el año 1539 al 1600 con notas biográficas sobre cada uno de ellos y algunas información es genealógicas.
